Welcome to the Wish List! We are a group of friends, both old and new to Yoville, who babble and gift one another when we can. We do not gather to receive, we gather to give. Those who give on a regular basis are called "Angels". Some gifting angels are silent... spreading their smiles in the background. Others enjoy visiting. All spread happiness throughout YoVille.
Below are the (revised) agreed-upon guidelines for participating in this topic. Following these guidelines will help the message thread to run smoothly and happily. Respecting the guidelines also prevents gifting Angels from becoming grouchy.
1. Manners work wonders. Remember to use Please and Thank You...
2. Make use of the word "wish" (rather than "want" or "need"). Think of it as wishing upon a star (or from Santa?), rather than listing "needs".
3. Please post your wish list no more than once an hour. More often than that, and Angelic vision might blur when viewing your wishes. (this does not apply to wish lists in signatures)
4. Try to keep your list varied (afforable gifts as well as your dream rares), and not tooooo long, please. Think "wish list" rather than "shopping list." We truly want to bring a smile to everyone's day, but that takes a little cooperation on your part too.
5. Never... ever... sell gifts you request and are gifted here! If you choose to part with our gifts, please give it (freely) to someone else.
6. Please no whining, moaning, and begging. Come here prepared to visit and gift. Consider it topping on the cake if you receive a gift. Gifting whilst expecting something in return is not the wisest approach.
7. Your wishes might not be granted right away! Some might never be granted by anyone but yourself. This does not mean you're disliked in the group. Some wishes take months to fulfill. Patience, m'dears. Stick around and play with us in the meantime. Who knows, you might earn enough money whilst waiting to fulfill your own wish... and self-sufficiency is a most wonderful goal to achieve.
8. This list moves at sonic speed (approximately 100 pages a day!!)! Don't try to catch up on all past messages. Read the last one or two pages, along with these guidelines, and you're set.
9. There are scammers and liars amongst us! It's a sad truth, so gift cautiously if this idea is especially upsetting to you. If you're not sure that you trust someone, then gift something out of your inventory that you wouldn't mind gifting to a scammer (or don't gift that person at all... we're not obligated to gift). Another option is to privately ask the advice of someone you do trust. If you do choose to spend your cash and coins, or gift a rare... please do so carefully so that you hopefully aren't later upset or hurt.
10. And lastly, drama and bickering seriously interfere with gifting. The wish list is a Drama-Free Zone. As Christinaaaaa said, "...let the drama see itself out the door, it was so last thread..."
Thanks so much for reading this. Merry gifting! And remember... Gifts are not a measure of friendship.
Mwah!
Also Please Post Your Profie URL Here So We Can Gift You! THANKS!
